robinsviewphoto > This is an immature Bald Eagle.  They are often mistaken for Golden Eagles as they do not get the beginnings of their white head until about their third year of life and do not have the entire white head until they are five years old.
robinsviewphoto > Nevada in February is a wonderful time to see Bald Eagles. They come in because it is calving season to get the afterbirth from the cows.  Male Bald Eagles can weight up to about 9 lbs and females about 12-13 lbs.  In the raptor world, females are larger than males.
